The application discloses an intelligent electrohydraulic braking system and method for a trailer based on multi-mode sensing and predictive control, and belongs to the technical field of vehicle braking. The system comprises a main control unit arranged on a tractor, an electrohydraulic braking execution unit, an environment sensing unit and a posture monitoring unit which are arranged on a trailer. The method is characterized in that vehicle state, driver intention and front road environment information are acquired in real time through multi-mode sensor fusion, based on the information, a control unit executes a predictive control algorithm to predict braking demands and potential risk working conditions in advance, and dynamic and accurate distribution of trailer motor braking force and hydraulic braking force is achieved according to a prediction result, and active attitude coordination control is implemented. The application effectively solves the problems of long braking distance, swing and folding of the trailer and the like caused by delayed response and inaccurate braking force control of the traditional trailer braking system, obviously improves the braking safety and stability of the articulated vehicle combination, and realizes energy recovery.
